For practitioners, teachers, therapists, and anyone wanting to deepen their Yin Yoga practice
Many Yin Yoga teachers begin with a handful of familiar poses and variations. Over time, those shapes become second nature. But eventually, other questions often begin to arise: What else is possible within this pose? How can I adapt it for different bodies? And how can familiar poses continue to feel creative, supportive, and inspiring to teach?
Across four immersive workshops, we’ll take a deep dive into selected Yin Yoga poses. Together, we’ll explore more than 100 common and uncommon variations, discover how small changes can completely transform the experience of a pose, and learn how to adapt familiar shapes with greater confidence and creativity.
What You Will Learn:
Instead of relying on the same familiar variations and sequences, explore common and uncommon poses that naturally expand your options and bring greater variety to your practice and teaching.
Understand intensity levels, know when a variation goes deeper or offers more ease, and recognise when a pose may not be appropriate for a particular body.”
Develop a deeper understanding of when to choose a variation, when an alternative may better serve the intention, and how to respond to different bodies with greater clarity and confidence.
I was so happy when I saw your course TARGET AREAS! 😊 It sounded like spot on for me and it was. Your way of teaching is absolutely fantastic and your knowledge that you shared is now a treasure chest for me.

What past participants say:
Since beginning her yoga journey in 2010 and teaching since 2019, Sonja has taught thousands of Yin Yoga classes and worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, bodies, and experiences.
Over the years, exploring variations, adaptations, and alternatives became a natural part of her teaching. Every student brought different needs, different proportions, and different experiences to the mat, inviting her to continually look beyond the most familiar version of a pose and discover new possibilities within it.
Since beginning her yoga journey in 2010 and teaching since 2019, Sonja has completed more than 1,000 hours of teacher training with some of the world’s leading Yin Yoga teachers. Her teaching combines a functional understanding of the body with creativity, curiosity, and years of practical teaching experience.
In this course, she’ll share the variations, adaptations, and teaching insights she has gathered along the way, inviting you to look at familiar Yin Yoga poses through a new lens.
