Many people come to Yin Yoga for relaxation and or to increase flexibility. But at some point, often a question begins to arise: What am I actually creating in this pose? Which areas of the body are being affected and what are the effects?
This course offers a practical way into those questions. Target areas offer an accessible map of the body. They help us understand the intention of a pose: which area we are focusing, how we might approach it, and how we can adapt the shape to different bodies using props, variations and - if needed - pose alternatives.
Over ten weeks, you will learn how to work with target areas - the foundation for practicing and teaching in a nervous-system-informed way - so your Yin Yoga practice and teaching becomes clearer, more intentional and informed.
