For practitioners, teachers, therapists, and anyone wanting to deepen their Yin Yoga practice
Many people come to Yin Yoga for relaxation and or to increase flexibility. But at some point, often a question begins to arise: What am I actually creating in this pose? Which areas of the body are being affected and what are the effects?
This course offers a practical way into those questions. Over seven weeks, you will learn how to work with target areas, intention, and embodied awareness so your Yin Yoga practice becomes clearer and more intentional.
What You Will Learn:
1 - From guessing poses to practising with more clarity and ease
Learn what a pose is creating in the body - so you can practise with more clarity, confidence, and ease, rather than feeling unsure about where the shape is meant to land.
2 - Build a simple and usable understanding of anatomy
Learn to recognise key target areas and understand why the same pose may be experienced differently in different bodies.
3 - Learn to work with sensation, breath, and embodied awareness
Explore how sensation, breath, and nervous system awareness can support a more present, grounded, and embodied Yin Yoga practice.

What Each Weekly Session Will Look Like
Each session is 90 minutes and includes both teaching and practice, so you can immediately apply what you are learning in your own body.
Week 1
Workshop: Foundations - 90 mins
We will focus on the basics: the principles of Yin Yoga practice: how to approach target areas, how to breathe in Yin Yoga, and how to work with the practice in an intentional way.
Week 2-12
Target areas in practice
Across the following weeks, we explore the target areas in practice through five live workshops. One of the seven weeks is an integration week with no live session, giving you space to absorb and revisit what you have learned.

What if I cannot join live?
All sessions will be recorded, the recordings will be posted on the same day as the live online sessions and you will receive lifetime access to the recordings.
What happens after I signed up?
After you sign up, you will first receive a confirmation email. Then, on the day before the training begins, you will receive a second email with your workbook and all Zoom links for the course.
What do I need for the course?
What you will need for the practice sessions:
• a bolster or firm cushion (for example, a sofa cushion)
• a blanket or towel
• a strap or belt (a scarf also works)
• two blocks
Is this course only for yoga teachers?
No. The course is open both to yoga teachers and to practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of Yin Yoga.
I’m new to Yin Yoga - is this course still for me?
Yes. The course is designed to be accessible and guided step by step. You do not need prior anatomical knowledge or teaching experience to benefit from it.
Is this course very anatomy-focused?
No. The course includes anatomy, but in a practical and accessible way.
Do I need anatomical knowledge before joining?
No. The course is designed to make anatomy understandable and usable without overwhelming you with technical language.
What will I receive when I join?
You will receive the 6-week live online course, lifetime access to the recordings, a workbook with visual and written explanations, and the bonus materials included with your registration.
